HISTORY.
freeze
frame improv
(ffi) was founded in september of 2006 by brandon waters. through rigorous study of longform
improvisation, the group was ready to perform for the first time in a charity
performance for the children’s cancer association –
raising over $1,500 for the
cca.

after a successful run
for charity, the group got a deal to perform weekly at friendly
grounds coffee
house. the shows were a major
success – garnering attention from upstage magazine and the nj star
ledger. hint, larger than
flemington.
“These
guys are
fun, fantastic, and smell great. I endorse everything they do.” – matthew vicari, ucb
theater student/cuny brooklyn student
ffi was honored to
perform in nyc for the prestigous longform improv festival
hosted by the
upright citizens brigade, the del close marathon. wow, what a crazy weekend. ffi also performed in nyc at gotham city improv opening for
“bombardo” – a weekly improv show there.

mtv networks
asked
freeze frame to send in an audition tape for their (not picked up) pilot,
“funny teens”. with the help of
some film friends, the dvd came out great!
“A
very talented
and entertaining cast. [We were]
impressed by the turnout you have at your shows and what a nice audience they
were!”
– Debbie & Joe, Alexandria Township residents
after the summer
of
2007, ffi moved to weekly performances at the spotlight theater
in turntable
junction of flemington. after a
lot of sweaty nights in a hot upstairs dungeon, ffi was welcomed back to
friendly grounds coffee house!
ffi raised over $1,000 at their last performance, donations went to The Matheny Center (www.matheny.org) in north jersey. i think we can all say freeze frame made their mark,
and will continue to in the future as much as they can!
